Ellen Ford, MA, MHC-LP

It can be challenging to take the first step toward healing, so I consider it an honor to walk alongside each person and offer support. I am committed to providing a diversity-inclusive, culturally humble therapeutic approach in order to empower clients with the necessary skills and tools to find healing and growth.

I believe that every person holds unique life experiences that cumulate to create the story of who they are. These stories provide context to how people express themselves and view the world around them.

Within the therapeutic space, I seek to meet clients in a warm, non-judgmental environment, one that is guided by a holistic framework to identify what health and wellness look like for each individual. By incorporating a strengths-based approach and emphasizing acceptance, I focus on collaboratively exploring each person's story to find the balance between accepting what they cannot control and making changes in areas they can.

With a specialization in trauma, my training is inclusive of diverse treatment modalities and interventions. I have experience utilizing trauma-informed therapy to assist with the management of depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, low self-esteem, and interpersonal conflict.
